Improvement is a periodical journal in the field of Management managed by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, and published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya with E-ISSN number: 2807-5846 published every March and September. This journal accepts only articles in English Based on the decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 dated July 24, 2026, Improvement: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis has been indexed in SINTA 3 Focus and Scope The aim of Improvement: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is to disseminate the results of applied research in the fields of management and business. Improvement: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is focused on becoming a journal that publishes scientific articles from applied research conducted by academics, practitioners, and professional associations. Improvement: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis invites manuscripts in the following sub-areas Business Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Operations Management Peer Review Process Improvement: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis applies a double-blind peer review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process to promote objective and impartial evaluation. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with the author guidelines, originality, academic quality, and ethical standards. Manuscripts are also checked for plagiarism and textual similarity using Turnitin. The similarity score should not exceed 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the editorial screening stage. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. The reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on their originality and contribution to knowledge, theoretical foundation, methodological rigor, data analysis, discussion of findings, quality and relevance of references, clarity of presentation, and overall academic significance. Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor makes a decision regarding the manuscript. The possible decisions are Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. When revisions are required, authors are expected to respond to the reviewers’ comments and revise the manuscript accordingly. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor. The Editor may seek additional review when necessary to ensure the quality and integrity of the editorial decision. All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential. Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive evaluations, maintain confidentiality, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Editorial decisions are made independently and are based on academic and ethical considerations. The peer review process generally takes approximately 4–8 weeks, although the actual duration may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the number of revision rounds required. Open Access Policy The journal provides open access to its published articles, making research freely available to the public. This policy aims to broaden access to scholarly knowledge, facilitate the dissemination of research findings, and support the global exchange of knowledge.
