Keberadaan Ojek Online Maxim dalam Mendukung Mobilitas Mahasiswa IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua pada Kampus yang Tidak Dilalui Trayek Angkutan Kota

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the existence of Maxim online motorcycle taxi services in supporting the mobility of students without private vehicles in Jayapura City. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving students who had experience using Maxim services. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that Maxim played a significant role in supporting the mobility of students in Jayapura City. The primary factors influencing students’ use of Maxim were affordability and accessibility. Affordable fares were identified as the primary reason students preferred Maxim over other transportation options. In addition, the user-friendly mobile application, fast booking process, and service flexibility were considered effective in supporting students’ academic activities and daily mobility. The study also identified several advantages of Maxim services, including affordable fares, convenient digital payment options, prompt service, and friendly and polite drivers. However, several challenges remain, such as the limited number of drivers, longer pick-up times, and difficulties experienced by drivers in locating pick-up or destination points. Overall, Maxim online motorcycle taxi services contributed positively to the mobility of students without private vehicles in Jayapura City, although improvements in service quality are still needed to enhance user comfort and satisfaction.
