Social Assistance for Children at the Bhakti Luhur Alma Orphanage in Bandung

Abstrak

This community service project was carried out at the Bhakti Luhur Alma Orphanage in Bandung as an expression of social concern for children in need of attention and support. The main objective of the program was to improve the well-being and happiness of the orphanage’s children through the distribution of social assistance and the fostering of positive interactions between youth, adolescents, and the children. The implementation used a participatory approach, which included needs assessment, fundraising, activity planning, and execution through educational games, motivational sessions, aid distribution, and communal prayer. The results indicate that the social interactions developed during the activity successfully strengthened empathy, solidarity, and compassion among both the participants and the children. This program is expected to inspire the wider community to continue nurturing a spirit of sharing and sustainable social engagement.
