Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Anak Mengenai Perundungan di SD Negeri 5 Puhu

Abstrak

Background: Bullying is a maladaptive behavior that negatively affects children’s physical, emotional, and psychological development and remains prevalent in school settings. This behavior may interfere with classroom learning activities and compromise students’ overall well-being. Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of students’ knowledge concerning bullying at SD Negeri 5 Puhu, Payangan, Gianyar. Methods: A quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population comprised 105 students, of whom 93 were selected as respondents using probability sampling with a stratified random sampling technique. The inclusion criteria included students in grades III–VI who were present during data collection, while students who were absent at the time of the study were excluded. Results: The results showed that the majority of students had a moderate level of knowledge regarding bullying, with 76 students (81.7%), followed by a low level in 9 students (9.7%) and a good level in 8 students (8.6%). Based on age groups, students aged 8–10 years demonstrated a higher proportion of good knowledge compared to those aged 11–12 years. In terms of gender, female students tended to have a better level of knowledge about bullying than male students, although most respondents in both groups remained in the moderate knowledge category. Conclusion: The results suggest that a considerable proportion of students still lack sufficient knowledge about bullying. Therefore, comprehensive, continuous, and integrated educational interventions are needed within school health programs to improve students’ understanding and to promote a safe, supportive, and bullying-free school environment.
