Studi Eksplorasi Alasan Terbentuknya Perilaku Lelaki Seks Lelaki Sebagai Kelompok Risiko Tinggi HIV/AIDS pada LSLdi Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Bandung

Abstrak

Background: Men who have sex with men (MSM) is a sexual behavior that occurs between men and men. This sexual behavior of MSM makes MSM a group at high risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. This male-to-male sexual behavior is certainly influenced by both internal and external factors. Objective: This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the causes of men who have sex with men sexual behavior among MSM at the Bandung City Regional General Hospital. Method: This study uses a qualitative method through in-depth interviews with research informants, which are useful for analyzing the formation of male-to-male sexual behavior in greater depth. This study was conducted on five informants. Result: The interview showed that the factors contributing to the formation of male-to-male sexual behavior were lack of knowledge, dissatisfaction with partners, the desire to try new things, family factors, and social factors. Conclusion: Being a male sex worker is certainly influenced by various factors ranging from internal factors and external factors. This research is expected to build awareness from health workers to be able to overcome the causes of the formation of this male sex behavior so that it can have an impact on reducing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS.
