Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga Dengan Resiliensi Pasien Kemoterapi Di RSUD Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang
Abstrak
Background: Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy will experience many side effects. One factor that hekps patients survive is family support. Family supports is essential for patients to have high resilience to survive and get through all chemotherapy processes. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and the resilience of chemotherapy patients at RSUD Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang. Method: This research was a quantitative study using a correlation design with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 82 respondents. Data collection used Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and family support questionnaires by Friedman. Result: Data analysis using the Spearman-Rho statistical test with p value = 0.001 and r value = 0.375 means that there is a relationship between family support and the resilience of chemotherapy patients, with the strength of the relationship being moderate and positive direction means that the better the family support, the higher the resilience of chemotherapy patients. Conclusion: Families can provide support by providing information, listening to patient, providing financial support and participating in caring for patients and always appreciation to patients to increase patient resilience.
