Abstrak

The national entrepreneurship ratio reached 3.29% in 2025 and is projected to increase to 3.60% by 2029 and 8% by 2045 under Presidential Regulation No. 38 of 2026. Despite this upward target, Indonesia continues to lag behind Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore in entrepreneurial development. Moreover, university graduates account for only about 3.6% of the country's entrepreneurs, highlighting the continuing challenge of fostering entrepreneurial intention among students. This study examines the effects of entrepreneurial knowledge and family support on entrepreneurial intention, both directly and indirectly through entrepreneurial self-efficacy, among students at STIE SBI Yogyakarta. A quantitative research design was employed involving 200 students selected through convenience sampling. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire adapted from established instruments and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial knowledge and family support positively and significantly influence both entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy also exerts a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, entrepreneurial self-efficacy mediates the relationship between family support and entrepreneurial intention but does not mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurial intention. These findings suggest that strengthening students' entrepreneurial intention requires family support that enhances entrepreneurial self-efficacy while simultaneously fostering entrepreneurial knowledge as a direct driver of entrepreneurial intention.
