OPTIMALISASI LITERASI DIGITAL BAGI ANGGOTA PKK DESA PABELAN DALAM MENGATASI INFORMASI DAN BERITA HOAK DI INTERNET

Abstrak

The advancement of internet technology has an impact on people's lifestyles, especially among mothers. In their activities, the majority cannot be separated from the use of smartphones that are connected to the internet. The presence of this technology also has a negative impact related to information that is not necessarily true or hoax. Lack of literacy in differentiating hoaxes and not being an important problem for them. Not infrequently they have become victims of hoax information. The purpose of this activity is to provide literacy to the “PKK” organization in Pabelan Village, Kec. Pabelan, Kab. Semarang can understand and overcome the emergence of various hoax information on the internet, especially social media. Implementation of activities involving more than 30 PKK administrators. Conducted by lecture and question and answer method. Followed by direct practice using applications on the internet to check the correctness of the information. Activities are guided by tutorials by the team. The result of this activity was that mothers enthusiastically participated in the event from start to finish. They get knowledge and effective ways to deal with various information or news that appear at any time on their smart phones. They are divided into 4 groups that are capable of digital literacy. Group 1 conducted a fact check on hoax information. Group 2 performs self-protection of personal data. Group 3 did a digital ethics fact check. The fourth is to practice social media based on digital culture. The result is that each group gets internet findings and clarifies, practices with the methods that have been taught. They understand how to deal with various hoax information circulating on the internet. Critical thinking is the main thing. Then the use of application tools is the next step to check the correctness of the information.
