SOSIALISASI PENDIDIKAN POLITIK PADA PEMILIH PEMULA (SISWA/SISWI SMA KELAS XII) DI KOTA SORONG PADA PEMILU SERENTAK TAHUN 2024

Abstrak

Schools are a means of obtaining scientific education, so knowledge of politics is necessary, bearing in mind that the function of schools as one of the most important facilities in educational institutions and political education must also be carried out in order to provide sufficient knowledge for students as first-time voters who have not have used their right to vote in general elections, so that this can show the political attitude of someone who is full of a high spirit of nationalism. The main objective is to increase political knowledge for students as first time voters about the importance of political knowledge and participation in elections. The method used in carrying out community service activities is through socialization activities which are directly conveyed to those who already have the right to vote, namely class XII high school students in Sorong City. The results of the implementation of community service activities carried out can be seen, that with this PKM activity students as first-time voters already know a lot about the importance of first-time voter participation in facing the upcoming 2024 Simultaneous Elections. This can be seen when the presenters follow up on the material that has been presented by asking questions to the participants about the material, from the results of the follow-up it is known that the participants can answer well and are able to provide examples of analysis of what has been learned. he understood. From these results it was concluded that the activities carried out had increased the knowledge, understanding, and awareness of correct politics for first-time voters.
