EDUKASI TENTANG ISPA (INFEKSI SALURAN PERNAFASAN AKUT) DI MASYARAKAT DESA AIR HANGAT KABUPATEN KERINCI

Abstrak

ISPA anatomically includes the upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract and respiratory tract organs. Acute infection is an infection that lasts up to 14 days. The 14 day limit is taken to indicate an acute process, although for some diseases that can be classified under ARI this process can last more than 14 days. The purpose of the activity is to increase knowledge about the effects and symptoms of ARI, and to increase public awareness to want to live healthier, to be motivated to take part in health programs carried out by the local health center. The implementation method in the community service program consists of the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. Starting from coordination with stakeholders followed by preparing the location and participants. Furthermore, the implementation stage was carried out for 1 day which included pretest, distribution of leaflets, discussion/question and answer process and posttest. Of the 77 participants in this activity, data was obtained before the participants' knowledge service activities related to ISPA in children were good (0%) and not good (100%). After the dedication, good knowledge becomes 75% while poor knowledge drops to 25%. After the distribution of the leaflets took place, the team provided materials related to ISPA to the participants, all of whom were parents with toddlers. Based on this material, the team conveyed it to the participants and then the participants enthusiastically asked questions and gave questions to the team about a number of things related to ISPA. After completing health education to the community, the team then conducted a posttest to see the participants' knowledge regarding ISPA. Pretest results of 0% good knowledge became 75% after the activity took place and there was a decrease in poor knowledge from 100% to 35%.
