Optimalisasi Literasi Digital bagi Siswa dan Orang Tua melalui Edukasi Penggunaan Internet yang Aman, Bertanggung Jawab, dan Berkarakter Islami

Abstrak

The development of digital technology today has many people seeking learning materials by utilizing digital media, including teachers, parents, and students. Therefore, digital literacy plays an important role in optimizing digital use in providing additional tutoring to catch up on students' lag in learning the material. There are still many students who have not been able to understand digital literacy in improving their ability to absorb learning materials. The purpose of this community service is to improve students' digital literacy skills by providing many illustrations in utilizing technology to expand access to knowledge and information to provide various benefits for the future, especially in understanding digital security, social media ethics, internet usage monitoring, and time management of digital device usage for students and the school environment in realizing safety, responsible, and Islamic internet usage. Implementation of digital literacy training at Asmaul Husna Integrated Islamic Elementary School located in Raharja Village, Tanjungsari Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency. The activities carried out were planned and structured using a multi-stage method in the form of counseling, interactive discussions, simulations, and mentoring in the wise use of digital media. The material presented covered digital security, social media ethics, personal data protection, parental control, screen time management, and the application of Islamic values in digital activities. The main results of this activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of maintaining digital privacy, sorting out correct information, avoiding negative content, applying ethics in social media, and utilizing the internet as a learning tool and positive activities. In addition, parents experienced increased awareness and skills in accompanying their children in using digital devices by implementing more effective supervision and wisely managing device usage time. This activity contributes to increasing the digital literacy capacity of students and parents, strengthening the role of families in assisting internet use, and supporting the formation of a safe, responsible, and Islamic-based digital culture in the family and school environment.
