Pengembangan Model Pengelolaan Sampah Berbasis Ekonomi Sirkular Terdigitalisasi: Upaya Mewujudkan Zero Waste Tourism di Kawasan Pesisir Watubangga
Abstrak
The coastal area of Watubangga is facing severe environmental degradation due to unmanaged tourism waste and the absence of an integrated waste management system. This study aims to develop a digitized circular economy-based waste management model that valid, practical, efficient, to achieve Zero Waste Tourism (ZWT). The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach guided by the five stages of Design Thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and surveys with local stakeholders, followed by analysis using descriptive statistics, the System Usability Scale (SUS), and Gregory’s formula for validity testing. The results revealed that the implemented model reduced waste volume by 38%, increased community participation by 65%, and boosted local income by 45%. The developed digital platform achieved a 95% readiness level, with a model consistency coefficient of 0.92 and a high user satisfaction score (SUS = 88). These findings demonstrate that integrating system with accessible digital technology can effectively address environmental and economic challenges in coastal tourism areas. This study contributes a validated and replicable waste management system that supports sustainable tourism development.
