Analisis Kompratif Kebijakan Ekskursi di The Australia Islamic College Adelaide dan Preston Islam College

Abstrak

Purpose: This study aims to analyze and compare excursion policies implemented at The Australian Islamic College Adelaide (AIC) and East Preston Islamic College (EPIC), particularly in terms of experiential learning, risk management, and inclusivity. Methodology/approach: This research employs a qualitative approach using a comparative method through document analysis and content analysis of policy documents from both institutions. Data were collected through documentation and literature study, and analyzed systematically to identify similarities and differences in policy aspects. Findings: The findings indicate that both institutions position excursion activities as part of experiential learning integrated into the curriculum. However, differences exist in policy orientation. AIC emphasizes technical aspects, standardized procedures, and structured risk management to ensure student safety. In contrast, EPIC focuses on inclusivity, student well-being, flexibility, and active parental involvement. These differences reflect distinct approaches, namely managerial-technical and humanistic approaches. Practical implications: The results suggest that educational institutions should integrate structured management systems with inclusive and student-centered approaches in designing excursion policies to ensure safety, effectiveness, and meaningful learning experiences. Originality/value: This study provides a comparative perspective on excursion policy in Islamic educational institutions, highlighting the importance of balancing standardization and inclusivity in educational policy development.
