PENERAPAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI STATISTIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 TOMPASO
Abstrak
This study examines the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving mathematics learning outcomes in statistics for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Tompaso. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental One-Shot Case Study design, involving 30 students selected through purposive sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of a validated essay test with 5 items. Data analysis utilized the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and one-sample t-test at a 0.05 significance level. The results indicated normally distributed data (Dcalculated 0.119 < Dtable 0.242) and a significant difference between student learning outcomes and the Minimum Completeness Criteria (tcalculated 7.524 > ttable 2.045). The average learning outcome of 79.2 exceeded the Minimum Completeness Criteria of 70. These findings demonstrate that the PjBL model not only significantly improves mathematics learning outcomes but also effectively develops 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through meaningful contextual learning.
